This game was developed as a project for the Lusofona University majoring in VideoGames.

IMPORTANT

•  Being a school project of course we don't have the money to get servers and other stuff so we went with a p2p approach.

•  If you want to play alone and test out the game and abilities go to the options menu on controls you'll find a max player's settings just set it to 1 and you can play alone. 

•  If you want to try out the game with friends each one of you must set the number to be the total number of players you want to play with. To play with friends you'll also need to all press play at the same time, with the time constraints from school we weren't able to include a decent lobby finder feature.

Story

• The Arena: Set in a near dystopian future, The Arena was created as a TV Show inspired by the dark setting of the Roman Gladiator Fights. In the Arena, contestants must fight and die again and again (as new technology allows them to be revived as many times as needed) until someone wins by “killing” the most people. The winner of this show is then granted a “Wish” being able to ask for virtually anything. The sheer popularity of the show has attracted a lot of attention from the betting side of things, giving a start to what is now called sponsoring.

• Sponsors: After realizing how profitable betting on the contestants of the arena would be, sponsors started showing up as people who had a large investment in certain contestants. With new rules now being applied, each contestant would be able to choose 2 sponsors, each of them giving a blessing.

• Blessings: Blessings are a sort of magical spell used to increase the capabilities of the contestants giving them new abilities. This was huge in terms of increasing the popularity of the show by calling the attention of people all over the galaxy.
